Marco Silva is under pressure at Goodison Park after a slow start to the season

Toffees boss Marco Silva is under immense pressure heading into the clash following four consecutive league defeats.

His side find themselves in the relegation zone after eight games, while the visitors are banging on the door of the top six following a fine start to the season.

However, the Hammers were beaten 2-1 at home by Crystal Palace before the international break and will be keen to regain their early momentum.

Another defeat for Everton in front of their home crowd could see Silva pay with his job, and things haven’t been made easier by the absence of Seamus Coleman.

Coleman will miss the clash due to suspension

The Toffees skipper will miss the game after being sent off during the 1-0 loss at Burnley two weeks ago, while summer signing Jean-Philippe Gbamin has been ruled out for three months.

Meanwhile, Fabian Delph could also miss the crucial clash due to a hamstring strain.

For the visitors, Lukasz Fabianski, Michail Antonio and Winston Reid are all out for the foreseeable future, while Declan Rice, Aaron Cresswell and Robert Snodgrass will undergo late fitness tests.
